FAQs

Where will I go for my screening?
We operate in over 500 locations across the whole of Ireland.  As our screenings don’t take place in hospitals, we’re able to offer you great value without compromising on quality.  You’ll find our venues are easily accessible, have plenty of parking and offer a much more pleasant environment than most hospitals.

How do I book a screening?
Call free on 1800 937 499 or send us an enquiry online

Are there age restrictions?
To ensure your results are accurate, our range of tests are only medically appropriate for people aged 18 to 78.

What happens on the day of my screening?
When you arrive to your screening venue, you’ll be welcomed by one of our experienced Health Screening Specialists.  Our Specialists have many years’ experience in both phlebotomy and customer service, so you can expect a professional, comfortable, private and friendly experience.

After signing in at the reception area, you will be invited into a private consulting room where your Specialist will begin your pain-free screening.  You won’t be asked any embarrassing questions, and you’ll remain clothed throughout. Aside from a small blood sample, all of our tests are completely non-invasive so you can rest assured that your tests will be painless and stress free. Take a look at our video which explains what will happen at your screening.

How should I prepare for my screening?
You’ll receive full details of any special preparation instructions when you book your screening, but you can continue to eat and drink normally before your appointment. We also recommend you continue taking any prescribed medication, and ask that you drink plenty of water to stay well-hydrated.

How long will my screening take?
We ask you to allow around 30 minutes for your screening. Once your screening has finished, your readings and samples will be couriered to our laboratory in Sandyford for analysis by our team of medical experts. Once all your results are collated we’ll send your personalised health report to you by post within 28 days of your screening.

What do I do if I need to rearrange or cancel my screening?
Bluecrest will always be happy to rearrange appointment dates and times in the event of unforeseen circumstances.  Just call a member of our team on freephone 1800 937 499.
